Dr Vajna Rafeek is the Practice Principal who firmly believes in family medicine with a holistic approach. A personable doctor, Vajna graduated in the year 1996 in Sri Lanka. She was extensively exposed to Gynaecology and obstetrics from the very early stages of her general practice. She was also very lucky to be a part of the pioneers in IVF in Sri Lanka. Dr Rafeek left in the year 2001 for the United Kingdom for higher studies, where she trained and worked in the National Health Services. Her experience there includes spheres of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Emergency, Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, geriatrics and general medicines.
Year 2007 brought Vajna to this magnificent land – Australia. The busiest Emergency department of the Northern Health took Vajna through many aspects of Australian health systems. Then she entered the Australian general practice and obtained her Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In addition to shared maternity care with Northern Health, western Health, The Royal Women’s Hospital and Mercy Hospital for women, Vajna condcuts skin clinic.
Interested in Culinary art, interior decor, sewing, Vajna speaks Tamil and Sinhala.
Dr. Edith Millawana Atapattu MBBS FRACGP
Dr Edith Millawana Atapattu is a richly experienced and very personable doctor. He has worked in hospitals in England and Australia covering the spheres of Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit, geriatrics and general medicines. He still works at Public Hospitals and stays current.
His passion for emergency medicine, men’s health, Paediatrics, preventative health makes him a good General Practitioner. He speaks fluent Sinhalese language in addition to English.

Dr Asad Ansari has been practicing as general practitioner for more than 20 years in Australia and overseas.
He is a compassionate and skilled medical professional who enjoys all aspects of general practice including skin conditions / minor skin procedures, geriatrics, men, women and child’s health، acute and chronic medical conditions like asthma, COPD, diabetes, chronic pain management, sports medicine , mental health , drug and alcohol management and rehabilitation and other conditions. When not at work, Syed enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a passionate gardener, loves to paint, read and watch TV.

Wendy Henriks – Psychologist – Children & Adolescents
Wendy Henriks is a registered psychologist special interest in children, adolescents, & families, but also works with adults. First registered in 2006, Wendy is currently working in schools, as well as private practice. She has experience with a wide variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, parenting, grief and loss, social skills, anger, intellectual and learning disabilities, self esteem, trauma, abuse, separated families, ASD, ADHD, OCD and more. Wendy is a client-centred therapist who utilises evidenced based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, structured and unstructured Play Therapy as well as Acceptance and Commitment therapeutic approaches. Wendy also has experience using Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. Wendy aims to make child sessions friendly and fun and tries to incorporate a systematic approach by working with the child’s school, family and other professionals when necessary. She is registered for the Better Outcomes in Health program and the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative through Medicare Australia but also practices privately. As well as counselling, Wendy can perform cognitive assessments including those for suspected, gifted or intellectually disabled children and teens. Purva Gulyani – Dietitian
Purva Gulyani is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. She is a Bariatric Care Specialist, accredited by the Surgical Review Corporation, USA and a Life time member of the Indian Dietitian Association. Graduated from Masters in food service management and therapeutic nutrition and she has more than 12 years of experience, with 5 years as a Senior Bariatric Dietitian. Working in private practice enables her to practice according to her values of promoting sustainable, positive health change. Purva is also experienced and up-to-date in clinical research in the diet-disease relationships of most health conditions – including bariatric surgery, heart conditions, high cholesterol, bowel conditions, food intolerances and chronic disease management (Obesity and Diabetes) just to name some. She strongly believes and follow evidence based practice.
